I have a really bad habit that is hard to break”… My client told me this last week.
One of her goals for 2015 is to get up 45 minutes early and workout. The first week was great. The second week was not so great. She immediately became frustrated. “Why can’t I make it through 2 weeks?”
Her bad habit is that she doesn’t get enough sleep. She has a busy life and can’t seem to go to bed at a reasonable hour. Then she gets up early to take her kids to school and go to work.
Missing sleep robs her of energy, affects her mood and gives her a short fuse with her kids. She knows sleep is important, and she would have more energy if she exercised, but life just gets in the way.
Why can’t we stay on track? How can we stay motivated all year long?
